TSB deploys investigator to ferry accident in Nanaimo, British Columbia
(Gatineau, Quebec, November 19, 2011) – The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has deployed an investigator following the collision of the ferry Queen of Coquitlam with the terminal facility in Nanaimo, B.C., on the afternoon of 18 November 2011.
The TSB will gather information from the site and assess the occurrence.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
