Transportation Safety Board of Canada will deploy a team of investigators to a rail accident in Fort Frances, Ontario
Richmond Hill, Ontario, 10 November, 2013 — The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) will deploy a team of investigators to the site of a rail accident near Fort Frances, Ontario. The CN train has derailed an estimated 40 car loads of grain. The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
