In 2001 there were 1,960 reported accidents, 1,448 mandatorily reported incidents, 643 voluntarily reported incidents, 210 fatalities.
In 2002 there were 1,813 reported accidents, 1,377 mandatorily reported incidents, 660 voluntarily reported incidents, 190 fatalities.
In 2003 there were 1,973 reported accidents, 1,390 mandatorily reported incidents, 673 voluntarily reported incidents, 172 fatalities.
In 2004 there were 1,945 reported accidents, 1,483 mandatorily reported incidents, 680 voluntarily reported incidents, 186 fatalities.
In 2005 there were 2,037 reported accidents, 1,371 mandatorily reported incidents, 615 voluntarily reported incidents, 189 fatalities.

Figure 2 - Investigations in Process/Completed
In 2001-2002 there were 159 investigations in process, 111 were completed.
In 2002-2003 there were 139 investigations in process, 109 were completed.
In 2003-2004 there were 142 investigations in process, 73 were completed.
In 2004-2005 there were 102 investigations in process, 115 were completed.
In 2005-2006 there were 106 investigations in process, 75 were completed.

In 2001 there were 518 marine reported accidents, 239 mandatorily reported incidents and 34 fatalities.
In 2002 there were 485 marine reported accidents, 174 mandatorily reported incidents and 28 fatalities.
In 2003 there were 547 marine reported accidents, 223 mandatorily reported incidents and 17 fatalities.
In 2004 there were 492 marine reported accidents, 248 mandatorily reported incidents and 28 fatalities.
In 2005 there were 480 marine reported accidents, 225 mandatorily reported incidents and 19 fatalities.

In 2001 there were 23 reported accidents and 34 mandatorily reported incidents.
In 2002 there were 20 reported accidents and 35 mandatorily reported incidents.
In 2003 there were 21 reported accidents and 38 mandatorily reported incidents.
In 2004 there were 7 reported accidents and 74 mandatorily reported incidents.
In 2005 there were 5 reported accidents and 79 mandatorily reported incidents.
There were no fatalities reported since 1988.

In 2001 there were 1,060 rail reported accidents, 322 mandatorily reported incidents and 99 fatalities.
In 2002 there were 984 rail reported accidents, 303 mandatorily reported incidents and 96 fatalities.
In 2003 there were 1,032 rail reported accidents, 295 mandatorily reported incidents and 79 fatalities.
In 2004 there were 1,138 rail reported accidents, 252 mandatorily reported incidents and 101 fatalities.
In 2005 there were 1,246 rail reported accidents, 244 mandatorily reported incidents and 103 fatalities.

In 2001 there were 359 air reported accidents, 853 mandatorily reported incidents and 77 fatalities.
In 2002 there were 324 air reported accidents, 865 mandatorily reported incidents and 67 fatalities.
In 2003 there were 373 air reported accidents, 834 mandatorily reported incidents and 76 fatalities.
In 2004 there were 308 air reported accidents, 909 mandatorily reported incidents and 57 fatalities.
In 2005 there were 306 air reported accidents, 823 mandatorily reported incidents and 67 fatalities.
