The occurrence
On 05 February 2026, a Canadian National Railway Company (CN) freight train, consisting of two locomotives and 194 loaded platforms, was travelling east on the main track of the Edson Subdivision when nine intermodal flat cars (35 platforms) derailed in various positions near the town of Wildwood, Alberta.
There were no injuries reported, and no dangerous goods were involved. The TSB is investigating.
